In 2023, Kansas saw an uninsured rate of 8.3 percent, which surpassed the 7.9 percent rate for the U.S. overall for the third consecutive year.
On Feb. 18, KHI held an event where participants engaged in an interactive, hands-on exploration of a dashboard for insurance coverage. Attendees discovered detailed characteristics of uninsured Kansans in their counties, examined trends across population subgroups, and gained insights to stay informed and better understand the landscape of insurance coverage in Kansas.
