Only a Few Weeks Left! Enter KHI’s Public Health Storytelling Contest Today
Do you have a story about how public health has made a difference in your life or community? If so, we want to hear from you.
The Kansas Health Institute’s In Your Own Words storytelling contest is still open, but the deadline is fast approaching. We’re looking for compelling, personal or creative reflections on the value and impact of public health in Kansas. Whether you’re a student, public health professional, community member or someone who simply believes in the power of prevention and well-being, your story matters.
- Deadline: July 31, 2025, at midnight CDT
- Submit to: info@khi.org
- Format: Word or PDF (500–1,500 words)
Top stories will be featured on KHI’s blog and used in future efforts to raise awareness about the value of public health. Prizes include a certificate, a copy of Frontier Doctor, a KHI water bottle and a $50 gift card for the first-place winner.
Need inspiration? Tell us about:
- A time a public health program made a difference in your life.
- How your public health work impacted your community.
- An innovative idea to improve the public health system.
