On Feb. 20, KHI held an event that explored how proposed policy changes at the federal level might impact KanCare, the state’s Medicaid program, in 2025 and beyond. Participants gained insights into current coverage criteria, including income thresholds and eligibility for various groups such as older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families with low income, as well as the Kansans who would likely enroll if Kansas were to expand Medicaid. Participants had an opportunity to discuss their questions and observations regarding potential Medicaid policy changes at the federal and state level.
