Why does health care cost Americans so much? What role do providers, insurers and patients play in the cost of care? On September 30, the Kansas Health Institute hosted a virtual event that explored different perspectives on these questions and strategies for responding to rising costs.

Featured Speaker was Jaime S. King, John and Marylyn Mayo Chair in Health Law and Professor of Law at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

Panelists included Sherry Pate, Human Resources Director, Total Compensation & HRIS, INTRUST Bank; Matt All, President and CEO, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas; G.
