The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released updated summary enrollment data for the insurance marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). As of February 22, 2015, there are 96,197 Kansans who have enrolled in health insurance coverage through the Kansas marketplace since open enrollment began on November 15, 2014.
KHI has prepared new maps showing the number of Kansans, by zip code, who have selected a plan or were automatically re-enrolled for the 2015 coverage year. Information is not yet available on how many of those persons have paid their premium and are actually covered by the insurance plan selected.
More detail on the data is available by Kansas zip code in Excel format.
Look for a report from KHI that describes final enrollment data for year two of the marketplace, following the close of the special enrollment period on April 30, 2015.
