Between 2022 and 2024, the rate of uninsured children in Kansas rose, a shift with real implications for families, health systems and communities across the state. Contributing factors during this period include the Medicaid unwinding process and rising family health insurance premiums.

KHI invites policymakers, advocates and media to a convening examining the data behind this trend, including where affected children live and their demographic characteristics, and what it means for the state. Expert panelists will present current research and discuss a range of policy responses and considerations.

🗓️Date: Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2026
🕘 Time: 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. CDT
