Kansas, like many states, faces significant challenges in delivering adequate health care services for all communities. One potential approach to addressing these challenges is leveraging community paramedics and other health care professionals in a broader care team that extends beyond the hospital or clinic. We’ll examine challenges and gaps, particularly in rural Kansas, and discuss key policy considerations for optimizing the health care workforce.
