Join us for the launch of the KHI Policy Series: Exploring Medicaid in Kansas

Be a part of shaping an educational series that will focus on Medicaid in Kansas. This inaugural event will introduce the 2025 KHI Policy Series, offering those interested in health-related topics the opportunity to help guide the focus areas of our upcoming quarterly sessions. 

During the Oct. 24 session, you’ll gain foundational insights into Medicaid eligibility and the program’s effects on access to care. KHI will provide information on key elements of Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in Kansas. The first session will include time to discuss future  series topics. By participating, you can help ensure that this series is timely and meaningful to your work and interests.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Kansas Medical Center and Kansas Health Institute. University of Kansas Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

APRNs: The University of Kansas Medical Center designates this activity for a maximum of 1 ANCC contact hours.  Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Social Workers: The University of Kansas Medical Center Area Health Education Center East, as an approved provider of continuing education by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board presents this offering for a maximum of 1 hour credit applicable for relicensure of LASWs, LBSWs, LMSWs and LSCSWs. SW Attendance: Participants must attend the entire event to receive credit. Partial credit will not be awarded.​

Certificates of attendance are available to other participants upon completion of documentation of attendance and evaluation as noted above.
