The final session in the series focuses on strategies that can be used to reach individuals who are unhoused. This session explores the unique challenges faced by populations without stable housing in accessing health care and the critical role of Medicaid in addressing their needs. It examines innovative approaches in Kansas and other states, such as outreach programs, care coordination and partnerships with housing services, to improve health outcomes and stability for individuals who are unhoused. 

What to Expect 

  • Examine current Kansas Medicaid (KanCare) approaches and barriers to enrollment for individuals experiencing homelessness. 
  • Explore cross-sector partnerships between Medicaid, housing and other services. 
  • Discover strategies from Kansas and other states on outreach and care models. 
  • Hear from subject matter experts and practitioners on strengthening access and service delivery.

Social Work Attendance Requirement: If a participant misses more than 10% of an offering, a certificate of continuing education will not be issued. Partial credit is NOT given.
