Exploring Maternal Health in KanCare:
The Care Team

Date: Tuesday, Sept. 9

Time: 1-2:30 p.m. CDT

Location: Zoom virtual meeting

The third session in the series examines the utilization of the care team, including doulas, lactation consultants and community health workers in maternal and infant health for Medicaid beneficiaries in Kansas. This session highlights recent policy changes regarding maternal health and the role of health care teams in providing culturally competent, personalized care and support during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. Participants will gain an understanding of how these services contribute to health outcomes and equity in maternal care under KanCare.

A recap of the series launch held on Oct. 24 has been posted to the KHI website, which includes a recording of the event and additional resources.
