Cathy McNorton, Senior Communication Specialist & Publications Strategist, manages the publication process and develops and implements strategies to improve it.
As a member of the leadership team, she ensures KHI communicates effectively about health policy issues and provides internal guidance for equitable and inclusive communication. Cathy also develops, implements and measures the impact of strategic communications plans and objectives in coordination with others on the Strategic Communication and Engagement team. She edits publications and develops website, email and social media content.
Cathy has worked in various roles in communications at KHI for nearly 20 years, including serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Center for Sharing Public Health Services, a national initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that helps public health departments share resources across their respective boundaries to more effectively and efficiently deliver services. Prior to joining KHI, Cathy worked in communications, development and membership for a professional association.
Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washburn University, where she majored in marketing and management.
