Avanthi Chatrathi, M.P.H., Analyst, supports the organization’s technical assistance, research and educational initiatives, particularly with communities across Kansas.
Before joining KHI, Avanthi was the Health Equity Coordinator at Jackson County Public Health in Missouri, where she developed and managed the organization’s efforts to promote equity internally and externally. Prior to that, Avanthi was a Senior Program Coordinator for the Respiratory Health Association in Chicago, where she managed tobacco cessation and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) projects and budgets. Avanthi also served as a Community Health Educator at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, as part of an Americorps program, National Health Corps Chicago.
Avanthi holds a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from Northwestern University.
