Logo-Pop Up Convening Public Health Resource Sharing

By working together – pooling resources, sharing staff, expertise, funds and programs – across organizational boundaries, public health departments can accomplish more together than they could do alone.

On December 15, 2022, the Kansas Health Institute (KHI) held a pop-up convening to explore the benefits, success factors and key learnings from a decade of experience helping health departments and other partners share resources to improve public health efficiency and effectiveness.

Wyatt J. Beckman, M.P.H., C.H.E.S.,  KHI Senior Analyst, led the discussion. Gianfranco Pezzino, M.D., M.P.H., Director Emeritus of the Center for Sharing Public Health Services, offered real-world examples of sharing arrangements among health departments and across sectors.
