On Sept. 16, Health on the Plains Coffee Hour featured Wade Swenson, M.D., founder of the Rural Cancer Institute. A medical oncologist and hematologist with more than 20 years of experience caring for patients in rural Minnesota, Dr. Swenson brought a unique perspective on what it takes to improve cancer care for rural patients and communities. This conversation explored the challenges and opportunities shaping rural health care, building the rural oncology workforce and closing the rural cancer gap.

An event recording will be posted soon.
