2025 County Health Rankings: County Profiles

The 2025 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps Annual Release, published on March 19 by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI) with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), is available at  www.countyhealthrankings.org.

To support state and local health improvement efforts, the Kansas Health Institute has produced individual county profiles that include a five-year comparison of County Health Rankings data and the “drivers,” or measures with the greatest impact, on the health grouping of each county.

How do Kansas Counties Fare for Population Health and Well-being?

The green map shows Kansas’ Population Health & Well-being by county. Population Health & Well-being tells us how long people live on average within a community, and how much physical and mental health people experience in a community.

How do Kansas Counties Fare for Community Conditions?

The blue map shows Kansas’ Community Conditions by county. Community Conditions include the social and economic factors, physical environment and health infrastructure in which people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship and age.
