Wyatt J. Beckman, M.P.H., KHI Analyst, testified before the 2021 Special Committee on Kansas Mental Health Modernization and Reform on October 28, 2021. During his testimony, he provided data from a recent Kansas Health Institute issue brief on suicide rates and the disparities that exist, particularly among peer county groups, and described federal and state efforts to prevent suicide in rural communities.
