Medicaid Issues Explained to the media outlet by KHI’s Brunner .

This week, KHI Senior Analyst Scott Brunner appeared in newspaper, radio and television news reports as an expert source for stories on the state’s Medicaid program.

The first report was published Monday in the Topeka Capital Journal about a group that is renewing lobbying efforts to expand Medicaid eligibility in Kansas as provided for by the Affordable Care Act.

Then on Thursday morning, Brunner was a guest on KCUR 89.3 FM in Kansas City for a live call-in show about KanCare, the name for the state’s Medicaid program since its administration was contracted to three private companies starting Jan. 1.

Then Thursday evening, Brunner appeared in a special report by Kansas First News on the inclusion of developmentally disabled Kansans into KanCare. Video from that report can be viewed below.
