The annual County Health Rankings, released today by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI), are available at www.countyhealthrankings.org.

The County Health Rankings provide an easy-to-use, county-level data snapshot of the multiple factors that influence how well and how long we live. This year’s data continue to demonstrate fundamental differences across and within counties in opportunities for health.

In addition to the county-level data, the County Health Rankings site also features What Works for Health, a comprehensive database of evidence-informed strategies to support local changemakers as they take steps toward expanding opportunities. Each strategy is rated for its evidence of effectiveness and likely impact on health disparities. Curated strategy lists provide helpful resources around specific topics and themes, such as COVID-19 recovery, climate change, and violence prevention and community safety.

The Kansas Health Institute has produced individual county profiles that include a five-year comparison of County Health Rankings data and the “drivers,” or measures with the greatest impact, on the rankings in each county. For more information, view the reports available from this page and our new interactive map dashboard below.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need assistance with understanding the rankings for your county.
