Miranda Steele, M.P.A., M.H.S.A.
Director of Strategic Communication and Engagement
Miranda Steele, M.P.A., M.H.S.A., Director of Strategic Communication and Engagement, oversees all aspects of communication and engagement, including branding, media and public relations, communication strategy, and product development and dissemination. She is also responsible for KHI’s nonpartisan research and educational events held at the KHI Learning Center.
Miranda currently serves as the Chair of the Governor’s Council on Fitness. Prior to joining KHI, she was Senior Director of Rural Health Partnerships at Centene Corporation in St. Louis and Senior Director of External Affairs and Business Development at Centene’s Kansas Subsidiary, Sunflower Health Plan, in Lenexa. Before that, Miranda was Director of Communications for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Miranda holds a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, as well as a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in communications and print journalism from Jacksonville State University.
