Cindy L. Nau

Grants and Contracts Administrator

Cindy L. Nau, Grants and Contracts Administrator, administers both pre- and post-award grants and contracts and coordinates project management.

Before joining KHI, Cindy was a grant coordinator with the project development team in the Life Span Institute at the University of Kansas. Prior to that, she worked for the Kansas Department of Commerce in the Workforce Services Division serving as a special project coordinator administering two older worker programs, drafting state workforce development plans and preparing annual audits and reports. Other positions held within the Department of Commerce included executive director of the KANSASWORKS State Board and senior marketing representative. She also worked as director of the Educational, Social and Biobehavioral Shared Service Center, providing human resources, fiscal and research support to assigned units within the University of Kansas. In addition, she held the role of neighborhood programs specialist with the City of Lawrence, functioning as a liaison between City Hall and neighborhood associations.

Cindy earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas, completed supervisory leadership training through the University of Kansas Public Management Center and is a certified grant writer, with certification from Fort Hays State University.
