Hina B. Shah, M.P.H.

Hina B. Shah, M.P.H., Senior Analyst & Portfolio Strategist, leads the process facilitation portfolio, including planning and developing initiatives and managing projects in partnership with clients and external partners.

She develops staff to support process facilitation services and provides research support across all KHI strategy areas.

Hina facilitates statewide systems-level discussions, such as those on the child welfare system, the juvenile justice system, the behavioral health system, aging services, and e-cigarette use. As a senior analyst, she has studied issues related to access to care, market innovation and population health, ranging from health insurance coverage to tobacco control. In addition to research, Hina also supports other technical assistance activities.

Prior to joining KHI, Hina served as a senior survey director at the independent research organization NORC at the University of Chicago, where she was responsible for the management and administration of public health and social science research for government agencies.

Hina earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia.
