Are you looking for the opportunity to use your qualitative research and analysis skills to impact policy and improve health? The Kansas Health Institute (KHI) has an immediate opening for a qualitative research analyst who will have the opportunity to work on projects that inform pressing health policy decisions and communicate findings to a broad audience.

The successful candidate will participate in a wide range of research and evaluation projects using qualitative research methods, including focus groups, key informant interviews, systematic literature reviews and document reviews.  Experience as a facilitator will be particularly valuable. Candidates for the position should have a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and experience designing and conducting applied research projects, and be familiar with a variety of qualitative research methods and tools (e.g., NVivo and Qualtrics).

Other desired experience includes working in a state or federal health policy setting or in public health, familiarity with grant-funded and contract research, and a broad interest in health policy, equity and community engagement. Candidates must demonstrate analytic knowledge and strategic thinking and will be expected to play an important role in conducting existing projects as well as shaping new projects. The ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented research setting is essential.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement and other fringe benefits, paid parental leave, an infant-at-work program, and resources for professional development.
