Emily Burgen, M.P.H., Analyst, conducts policy and statistical analysis on issues related to access to care, market innovation and population health. She utilizes a variety of large data sets to gain information and insights on health care utilization and outcomes and conducts policy and program evaluations. She then translates this valuable information to help inform policymakers and stakeholders as they make decisions that impact health.
Prior to joining KHI, Emily was a Senior Research Analyst at the University of Kansas Medical Center. While there, she utilized statistics and economic concepts to expand research and improve policy within population health, as well as performed analysis of data for clinical applications and quality improvement.
Emily holds a master's degree of public health in biostatistics from the University of Arizona and bachelor's degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of Kansas.
