Carlie J. Houchen, M.P.H., Analyst, focuses on community health improvement projects. She provides support and leadership to organizations, groups, coalitions and task forces that are working across sectors to improve the health of Kansans. Carlie also conducts research and policy analysis on issues related to population health, such as health disparities, immunization, environmental health and evidence-based approaches to population health improvement.
Prior to joining KHI, Carlie was an intern with the REACH Healthcare Foundation and also worked as a global program assistant at Children International.
Carlie earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition from Kansas State University.
