Carlie J. Houchen, M.P.H., Analyst, joined the Kansas Health Institute in 2016. Her work focuses on community health improvement and also on public health systems and services. She works on various projects, including those related to water issues and evidence-based practices, and she provides support to state-level coalitions. Prior to joining KHI, Carlie was an intern at the REACH Healthcare Foundation and also worked as a global programs assistant at Children International. Carlie earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition from Kansas State University.
