Dr. Brian Biles is Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Services Management and Policy in the School of Public Health and Health Services at The George Washington University.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Biles served for five years as the Senior Vice President of the Commonwealth Fund, a national foundation with a focus on major health care issues. Dr. Biles also served for seven years as staff director of the Subcommittee on Health, of the Committee on Ways and Means, of the U.S. House of Representatives. Dr. Biles received his doctor of medicine and bachelor of arts degree with honors from the University of Kansas. He studied at the University of Edinburgh as a Rotary International Fellow. Dr. Biles holds a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University and has taught at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health since 1984.
