Emily Meissen-Sebelius, M.S.W., Analyst, conducts and analyzes research related to public and private health insurance issues. Before joining KHI, Meissen-Sebelius worked at Mental Health America of the Heartland in Kansas City, Kan., where she served as the director of the Child and Youth Mental Health Initiative, an education, prevention and mental health promotion program. Prior to that, she worked as a program analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Evaluation and Inspections in Kansas City, Mo. Meissen-Sebelius earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas and a bachelor of science degree in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University.
