What is RSS?
Most people will tell you that RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" — and that's the simplest way to think about it.

An RSS feed usually consists of summaries of and links to new content from a website. Subscribing to an RSS feed makes it easier for you to keep up with you favorite websites without having to remember to check each of them manually.

You can subscribe to RSS feeds through most email clients or by using a web-based or computer-based "feed reader," or "aggregator." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link (for example, http://www.khi.org/rss/headlines/ for KHI's comprehensive feed) into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process.
