Using the School Meals Enrollment Form to Identify and Enroll Children in Medicaid and SCHIP

By Cheng-Chung Huang, M.P.H., Ron Liebman, Anthony Wellever | June 05, 2007

The report concludes it is entirely feasible to use the school meals enrollment form to identify children eligible for public health insurance and that it would be a pivotal step in a future facilitated enrollment process that could possibly reduce public health insurance program churning and the rate of uninsured children.
