Ruth Luhnow (Class of 1944, left) and Betty Alderson (Class of 1946) attended the dedication ceremony. When they were in the Pharmacy School, classes were held in Bailey Hall, the school's second space since its founding in 1886. Malott Hall was constructed in 1955, which is where most classes remained until this year. Luhnow and Alderson were both among very small graduating classes — Luhnow's class was just ten people out of 95 — because of World War II. Both women quit practicing pharmacy after just a few years to raise their families.
