Tom Bell, president of the Kansas Hospital Association, told Jim McLean of KHI News Service that his group is supporting a proposed increase in tobacco taxes with hopes that the new revenues would be used to restore recent cuts ordered in Medicaid rates paid to hospitals, doctors and other providers.
