The Kansas Health Institute recently added a new member to its executive staff.
Lisa R. Jones has been named Director of Strategic Communications, reporting to CEO Robert F. St. Peter, M.D. She manages KHI’s communications efforts, including branding, public relations and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to KHI, Jones served as president and general manager for Kansas Information Consortium, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of eGovernment firm, NIC Inc, where she managed government relations, marketing, contract management and operations for the state’s award-winning web portal, Kansas.gov. She also served as president and general manager for the Oklahoma state web portal.
Previously, Jones managed public relations and marketing efforts for Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City. She coordinated marketing for three system hospitals and a physicians’ group, and was the primary media contact at Saint Luke’s South, where she served on the executive leadership team. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in advertising from the University of Kansas.
“We’re pleased to add someone of Lisa’s caliber to our team,” said Dr. St. Peter. “Her experience will be a significant asset to KHI, as we seek to continually improve how we communicate the work we do to those we serve.”
