KANSAS CITY, Mo. The Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City is seeking applications for seven upcoming vacancies on its 21-member board of directors.
Board members serve a three-year term. Board meetings are the third Thursday of every other month at the foundation's offices (map).
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside or work in the foundation's service area and represent the service area's gender, racial, cultural, geographic and ethnic diversity. The foundation's service area is Allen, Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas; Cass, Lafayette and Jackson counties in Missouri; and the City of Kansas City, Mo.
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
• asset management and investment strategy
• public health
• health care delivery to the uninsured or underinsured
• health care advocacy
• community or neighborhood development
• philanthropic administration
• marketing or public relations
• research, legal or nonprofit sectors
