Miranda Myrick is the director of communications for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
She came to KDHE in March 2011 after 8 years of federal service as a U.S. Army civilian. She worked in public affairs and business development at Anniston Army Depot in her native Alabama.
She has a bachelor of arts degree in communications and a master's of public administration in political science from Jacksonville State University.
She has held positions with the Combined Federal Campaign and the United Way of East Central Alabama and was an active member of the Calhoun County (Ala.) Chamber of Commerce, UW Young Leaders Society and the Association of the United States Army. Her Department of the Army commendations include the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service and the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
She lives in Bonner Springs.
