TOPEKA — Steve Mock has been named director of communications at the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. He replaces Michelle Ponce, who moved to a management position in the agency.

Mock, 25, has been policy coordinator and a legislative liaison at SRS since October 2007. He will continue to work in these areas, agency officials announced Friday.
