In 2008–2009, about 347,000 Kansans were without health insurance, and uninsured rates have increased significantly in the last decade. The findings outlined in this brief indicate that certain factors — such as a person’s age, race, employment status and income level — are related to being uninsured.
This issue brief is part of a series of KHI publications that chronicle the insurance status of Kansans. It covers 2008–2009 data but was published in December 2011.
