Twenty-three percent of Kansans age 19-34 are uninsured. These individuals are more likely to be uninsured than any other age group and comprise nearly half of the total number of uninsured in the state. Young adults are less likely to have access to employer-sponsored insurance than their older counterparts and tend to have fewer financial resources.
