These guidelines describe some principles and practices that health care providers and acute care hospitals in Kansas can adopt if resources are scarce during a public health emergency. The guidelines are the product of analysis conducted on behalf of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) by the Kansas Health Institute (KHI) and a panel of experts.
