The Medicaid program in Kansas provides medical care for low-income seniors in nursing homes, people with disabilities, and low-income parents and their children. But if you're poor and don't have kids, you're out of luck. That could soon change. The federal government wants states to make it easier to qualify for Medicaid — and they're willing to pay most of the cost to do that.
