Governor lambasts Legislature for tax cuts

In a press conference held March 5, Gov. Mark Parkinson, a Democrat, announced his latest plan for balancing the current fiscal year budget. He also faulted the Republican-led Legislature for granting too many tax cuts and breaks for the benefit of special interests.
