The Kansas Health Institute offers interested professionals the opportunity to use their knowledge and skills in an applied, policy-relevant setting. Located in the state capital, KHI staff interacts with leaders from the legislature, state agencies, professional associations and other research organizations. Staff actively engages leaders from throughout the state to use information and analysis to improve health in Kansas. Faculty appointments at major research universities are available for qualified staff.
The Kansas Health Institute recruits persons with training or experience in many areas including medicine, public and community health, health policy and management, law, anthropology, political science, sociology, health administration, engineering, communications, journalism and business.
The Kansas Health Institute is located in Topeka, Kansas, a family-oriented community of 120,000 in northeast Kansas. Located just minutes from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, and less than an hour from Kansas City, Topeka offers excellent family, professional, educational, outdoor and cultural opportunities.
